So I have an ultrasound today. I was feeling super excited for it, until the middle of last night.

I am super sick right now. It started out as a cold and has progressed to this whole big thing. I can’t breathe out of my nose. I have a constant headache. I’m coughing up green phlegm. And my right ear is so goddamn sore. I can’t even blow my nose properly because it’s like knives are shoved in my head whenever I do.

Anyway, because of this, I have really struggled to sleep the last 5-6 nights. I’m usually up every hour (at least!) because I just can’t breathe.

Last night I was up every half an hour. At about 1:15 I decided to go to the toilet. When I sat on the toilet I heard a plop, but didn’t think too much about it.

Then I noticed that on top of my sickness issues, I was cramping. Sure enough, when I wiped, I had bright red blood again and more clots. The plop I had heard was a big clot falling into the toilet.

I put a pad on and expected it to stop. The cramping has stopped, but the bleeding has continued. The last 2 times I went to the toilet there were no clots, but there was an abundance of blood- so much, that it is trickling into the toilet bowl.

I don’t know what to take of this. I am half expecting to go into the ultrasound room and find that there is nothing there and I have miscarried.

But I’m trying to stay positive, I know this happened once before, but surely I couldn’t be lucky twice. Like, these clots aren’t small. And where the fuck are they coming from if not my uterus?!

I don’t know. Today I am 5 weeks and 6 days so we should absolutely be able to see a sac and a yolk sac. Keep your fingers crossed for me!!
